Google Maps 4.1 available on Android

Google Maps for Android has received an update, with version 4.1 now available in the Android Market for all handsets running Android OS 1.6 and higher. The update brings some nice improvements to the Google Maps experience, with a revamped search page that has done away with the tabs along the top, which are now replaced by new shortcut buttons. HTC Desire to be available in Silver?

The HTC Desire is an eagerly anticipated device, scheduled for release in the coming weeks on both T-Mobile, and Vodafone. The Desire is a high powered Android device, boasting a 3.7 inch capacitive touchscreen, 5.0 Megapixel camera, and running the latest version of the Android platform, 2.1 with the newest version of the excellent HTC Sense UI.
