Amazon are reporting that in the last 12 months, sales over mobile devices have added up to more than $1 billion, a sizeable portion of their yearly total. Sales figures are calculated for sales from all mobile devices including the Kindle, and the figures look set to increase in coming months.
Amazon have an app for all the major smartphone platforms, and mobile shopping on the Amazon site is very easy. More than once I've found myself in a store looking for a product, and doing a quick Amazon search via my phone to see if I can get the product at a significant saving online. Sometimes the saving is worth waiting an extra day or so for delivery.
