Carphone Warehouse

Carphone Warehouse are branching out into the music delivery industry, launching a cloud based music service, called 'Music Anywhere'

The service will be available to users of iPhones, BlackBerrys and some Android devices, and will give users access to around 6 million music tracks which can be streamed to a home PC, laptop or smartphone, as well as giving access to users own music tracks already downloaded and purchased, via the CPW MyHub website..

Music Anywhere will have a subscription cost of £29.99 a year, but will also be bundled with the Samsung Europa handset. Other bundled deals are likely in the coming months.

Carphone Warehouse head of group digital services, Tom Guy, said “We all have a cherished music collection that brings together our favourite mix of songs. The new Music Anywhere service lets you listen to this wherever you are, through any computer or by downloading the mobile app. In just a few minutes you can have thousands of tracks available from home, at work, on the train or in the car.”

The Music Anywhere service launches tomorrow (3 Aug)
