The Google phone aka, the T-Mobile G1 is now available from T-Mobile in Black and White, so what is the G1 and how much is it?

Powered by Google’s new Android operating system the G1 is packed with features, high speed 3G internet and email access, Wifi and GPS via Google maps for extra detail. A 3.2 megapixel camera and video recorder, music player and 1GB of memory expandable to 8GB. Encased in a sleek black or white design the G1 provides a crisp 3.2 colour touchscreen, a trackball and a full five row slide out QWERTY keyboard.

Reviews suggest this is a much better than anticipated launch product from Google with an operating system that has the flexibility to tempt users away from Apple’s iPhone.
