Motorola Milestone XT720

Since Motorola confirmed the impending release of the Milestone XT720, there has been a lot of interest surrounding the handset. The XT720 is expected to become the new Motorola Android flagship handset, replacing the original Milestone, also known as the Motorola Droid.

To further increase the desire of the XT720 for all Android fans, Motorola have updated detail of the specification of the XT720, which will now ship with an ARM Cortex A8 720 MHz processor and 512MB RAM, as opposed to the previously announced 550 MHz processor and 256MB RAM.

The rest of the spec remains the same, with the XT720 delivering a high quality 8.0 Megapixel camera, with HD video capability and Xenon flash, a large, 3.7 inch capacitive touchscreen with multi touch support, high speed mobile broadband data connectivity, WiFi, multimedia support and a stereo FM radio.

The Motorola Milestone XT720 will ship with Android OS 2.1 onboard, and should be upgradeable to Android Froyo 2.2. If this device has caught your eye, then you shouldn't have long to wait as it is expected to be available towards the end of June.
