Nokia is running an initiative encouraging people to forward their ideas about new products and services, which could one day find their way onto future Nokia handsets.
In any conversation, when mobile technology is involved, more often than not people will comment how they would like to see a particular feature or option included, and now that dream could become a reality if Nokia decide they like what is suggested.
For anyone who is interested, and has a genuinely viable idea that they would like to see incorporated in future Nokia handsets, there is a bespoke webpage where interest can be registered and ideas forwarded.
Nokia CEO Stephen Elop commented: “We recognise that there is tremendous intellectual property both inside and outside Nokia. By connecting with inventors outside of the company, we believe we can support inspiring inventors and engineers, while strengthening our future.”
It is an interesting concept, and interest should be high. After all, there have been many within the industry in the last 12 – 18 months who have had an opinion on what Nokia should do to improve the fortunes of their sales and stop the slide in market share. Now is the chance to put those opinions and ideas to the test.
