Sony Ericsson's equivalent to the Apple iPhone and Nokia's N96 is not going to be delayed - that is according to Richard Dorman a Senior Marketing manager for Sony Ericsson.
Many fans were disappointed when it appeared online as though the Xperia was going to be delayed until 2009.
The Xperia X1 is Sony Ericsson's first mobile phone to run on a Microsoft Windows Mobile platform. Many had believed this was possibly the reason for a delay.
It has been confirmed though that the Xperia X1 is due to be available in Q3/Q4 of 2008 - so at least it is this year we can get our hands on it.
Many rumours had been flying about with regards to Sony Ericsson's next smart-phone.
