The iPad has proven to be a very popular device, with Apple selling over 500,000 units in the US to date. The popularity of the device has led to the launch outside the USA to be delayed, with the iPad now expected to be hitting these shores from the end of May.
At the same time, Orange has confirmed they will be joining O2 and Vodafone in releasing the iPad when it becomes available. Details are still scarce, but all networks will be offering some kind of special tariffs for the iPad.
Orange said: ‘Orange today announced that it will offer dedicated iPad price plans for all models from the end of May in the UK’ while O2 added: ‘O2 today announced that it will offer dedicated iPad price plans for all models from the end of May in the UK.’ Vodafone said 'Vodafone today announced that it will offer dedicated iPad price plans for all models from the end of May in Australia, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK.
I guess someone couldn’t be bothered to redo a press release, and sent out the same release for all the networks! We will be posting up the tariff details for the iPad once the networks have released the information.
