Sony Ericsson Rachael X10 on Nov 3rd?

Working in the mobile industry, there is just as much enjoyment in the anticipation of a new device as there is in the actual release. First we get the rumour, then the 'Spy-shots' (which are always slightly out of focus, and fuzzy, taken on the world's worst camera), then further rumour as code names become device names, until we finally get to release, and get to see whether the device lives up to the hype. Nokia have always played the hype game well, seeing early on the benefit of word of mouth advertising, as they worked with established blogs and created a whole social networking scene to promote their multimedia devices.

Now it seems that Sony Ericsson have cottoned on to the benefits of playing a teasing game, as we wait for confirmation of the Sony Ericsson Rachael, the code name for a device that has also been known as the X3, but will most likely be the Sony Ericsson X10 upon release. There is a teaser page here, and it seems we only have to wait until November 3rd to get confirmation. Will it be the X10? Or have Sony Ericsson got another surprise to spring on us?

Personally I would love to see confirmation of the X10, a high powered handset running on the Android Operating System. The X10 is expected to come with a massive 4 inch screen, and an 8.0 Megapixel camera, amongst other features. To further whet the appetite, here is a video clip from the Sony Ericsson.
