Sony Ericsson has picked up an award for their excellent Xperia X10 Mini, with the device winning 'European Mobile Phone 2010-2011' given by the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA). The X10 Mini was chosen for its unique combination of compact size and excellent performance with a comprehensive range of features.
This is an important award for Sony Ericsson, it wasn't so long ago that the company was in big trouble, producing pretty average handsets that were failing to catch the imagination. Since tying up with Android, those fortunes have turned around and Sony Ericsson are once again producing eye-catching, market leading handsets. The X10 Mini has always been a firm favourite with us, and the device is a worthy winner of this accolade.
The Xperia X10 Mini is laden with top of the range technology, all crammed into a compact, pocket sized device, and it was this achievement of matching design and technical features that caught the eye of the EISA judges. The judges were also impressed with the wide range of colour options the X10 Mini is available in, commenting that the look and design has also introduced 'the fairer sex' to smartphone technology.
Global Product Marketing Manager for Sony Ericsson, Timo Maassmann said “We're delighted that Sony Ericsson has been recognised for refining the smartphone user experience.” “Sony Ericsson has identified the need for a compact and powerful mobile phone with all the benefits that come from a smartphone platform.”
