You may have seen the recent TV ads run by the Three network, demonstrating the improvements that they are continuing to make with their network coverage and quality, and it seems all that investment is starting to pay off as a recent YouGov survey has rated Three as the best network for Mobile Broadband in the UK. Over 3,900 customers of Three, Orange, O2, T-Mobile and Vodafone were asked to rate the level of service received from their network operator in the following areas: Installation of Software, Network Coverage, Getting Connected, Staying Connected, Reliability During the Day, Reliability During the Evening, Download Speeds, Upload Speeds, Ease of Use, Customer Services, Billing and Overall Quality.
Three were rated highly in fastest connection speed, reliability, billing, ease of use and overall quality of service. They were also highly rated for best value for money and had the overall highest rating for consumer satisfaction. Three's network has grown from 7,500 cellsites to more than 11,400 in the last 18 months, and it is estimated that by the end of 2010 the network will have expanded to 12,500 sites. Three's 3G network now has a population reach of over 95%, and have also implemented access to high speed data in many areas.
Three's director of Mobile Broadband, Jon Parker said: “It is a customer endorsement of the massive investment we have been putting into our network over the past two years and the speed at which the programme is developing. The network continues to grow in reach, speed and capacity. It also shows that what customers value most when it comes to mobile broadband are reliability, speed, coverage, ease of use and great pricing.”
